Attorney
Vincent Hein is an elder law attorney serving families throughout Wisconsin with compassion, experience, and a commitment to helping clients navigate some of life’s most important legal decisions. His practice is focused on helping seniors, individuals with disabilities, and their families plan for the future with confidence and peace of mind. Since 2014, Vincent has concentrated his practice on Medicaid and long-term care planning, asset protection, estate planning, special needs trusts, and probate and estate administration and litigation.
A recognized leader in the elder law community, Vincent was recently appointed to the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) Board of Directors, an honor that reflects the confidence and trust of his peers as well as his commitment to advancing the practice of elder law. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the NAELA Journal and as its Articles Editor. Vincent is an active member of both the Wisconsin Chapter and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Throughout his career, he has completed countless Medicaid crisis plans, drafted hundreds of revocable, irrevocable, and special needs trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, and litigated more than 250 Social Security Disability cases, along with probate and trust disputes and will contests.
Vincent earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and his J.D./M.B.A. from Marquette University. Before becoming an attorney, he worked as a financial advisor and English teacher. He also co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of a legal technology startup that was later acquired by one of the nation’s largest online estate planning companies. Early in his legal career, Vincent worked as an attorney for GE HealthCare (GEHC), where he oversaw contracts involving the sale of healthcare goods and services.
Vincent is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and represents Social Security Disability clients nationwide. Because federal Social Security Disability representation requires an attorney to be licensed in only one state, he has successfully advocated for disabled clients across all 50 states and U.S. territories, including California, Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, and New York.
